Melted Snowman Sugar Cookies

I saw these online about 2 years ago and made some last year! Aren't they the cutest things ever? I have some pictures of the ones from last year that i'll post so you can compare the two!

INGREDIENTS

1 package Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie Mix
 large marshmallows
Betty Crocker Cookie Icing (white and orange)
Wilton Decorating Icing Tubes in Black, Red, Green, Blue and Pink
(Or dye your own frosting and use piping bags!)

Mix cookie mix according to directions, or prepare your favorite sugar cookie recipe. Get a golf ball sized chunk and squish it down until it’s about 1/4-1/2 inch thick. Do not worry about the shape or how lumpy it is! The more mis-shaped, the better! Bake according to recipe directions.

Once the cookies are cool, load them up with the cookie icing and spread it around with a knife, let some dribble over the edge for a “puddle” look.

Spray a microwave safe plate with cooking spray, and place marshmallows on the plate. Set the microwave for 30 seconds, but watch the marshmallows as they cook. Stop the microwave as soon as the marshmallows start to get puffy, do not let them double in size.

Spray your fingers with cooking spray or grease them up with shortening, and carefully pull the marshmallows off, by the base, and set them on top of the frosted cookies.

Decorate as you’d like with the Wilton frosting, or your own homemade frosting!

These bottom snowmen are ones I did last year. The ONLY thing I don't like about them is I completely missed the part where it says to melt the marshmallows! So mine don't have that melted look as much! Instead with these, I cut some in half to give them all a different look. One of my favorite parts about these is I posed them in a snowball fight! I made some eyes squinting as if they were getting hit in the face and stuck some mini marshmallows on them! Instead of mini marshmallow I would get the hot chocolate mini ones! Those ones are extra mini and would look much cuter!
